Zambezi Queen

The Zambezi Queen is unique in that it’s a sophisticated, elegant experience that has not lost the essence of all that is uniquely African.

The top deck consists of the dining room, the lounge including a wood burning fireplace, a bar and a sunbathing area complete with private pool. Yacht Hotel

Want a floatel? Aquiva is at your service. She is the very first yacht hotel in the world, currently in construction in China. She boasts a length of 560 feet, six decks and over 100 luxury suites.

Aquiva also boasts an outdoor pool, a marina, movie center, sports deck and bar, as well as water taxies that are virtually silent. Is all this necessary? No. If she  is going to be advertised as a “yacht” or “ship”, then she should be sailing and not, well being docked 24/7.

Pearl Mist

Pearl Seas Cruises, a subsidiary from American Cruise Lines, has launched their first ship, named Pearl Mist. She is a 335 foot luxury ship, with sailing itineraries in Caribbean and the Canadian Maritimes. She is currently under construction in Irving Shipyards in Halifax, Canada with hopes of a launch in 2009, this year.

There are also plans to launch a second ship in the same year, but not being built by Irving. They will chose another yard because Pearl Mist was planned to launch in August, 2008 but was delayed.
